CROCODILE BANK AND TIGER CAVE
On the way to Mahabalipuram, we can see CROCODILE BANK and TIGER CAVE.
- Crocodile bank is on the way to Mahabalipuram.
- It takes about one hour to cover the crocodile bank.
- It has varieties of crocodiles from different countries.
- It is actually a visual treat.
- Snake show will be there in some days at a particular time.
- We can take rest there.
- Rest rooms are there.
- A small canteen is there.
- Entry fees for adult is 60rs and kids is around 30 Rs.
- No parking spaces. We have to park in the road sides.
- Mondays are holidays.
TIGER CAVE
- It is a hindu temple which is built in rock.
- It is a good place for refreshment.
- Some shops are there.
- Resting areas are there.
- Parking charges are there.
- Small park like area is there. But we have to pay.
MAHABALIPURAM
- It is also known as MAAMALLAPURAM
- Famous for temples and monuments.
- There we can see,
- Shore temple, Beach, Krishna's butter ball, Five Rathas, Light house, Varaha cave, Monuments etc.
- It is worth visiting there.
- We get good sea shell items there
- Also get leather sandals, pasmina shawls, bronze statues etc
- Entry fees are there.
The five Rathas (chariots) includes
- Dharma raja ratha
- Arjuna ratha
- Beema ratha
- Nakul and sahadeva ratha
- Draupadi ratha
All the five rathas are carved from a single long stone.
